Group & Private Pilates Reformer Classes
TIMONIUM, MARYLAND
What Makes The Pilates Place Different?
The difference at The Pilates Place is the environment — a non-competitive, friendly, welcoming community where you can focus on yourself, not keep up with anyone else.
We don’t measure success by how hard a class feels, but by how you feel afterward: worked, clearer, calmer, and better than when you walked in.
Our approach builds strength and mobility in a way your body accepts and your mind appreciates, so the benefits carry into the rest of your day — not just the time you’re in class.
And that’s why people stick with Pilates here: it feels good and makes everyday life a little easier.
Studio Owner- Danielle Miller
Hi! I made the leap from Pilates instructor to studio owner after more than 18 years of teaching Pilates — which basically means I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
My Pilates story actually started because my low back had other plans for me. I began taking private reformer sessions and group mat classes hoping for some relief… and ended up with less pain, way more flexibility and real strength. But what surprised me most? I left every session happier than when I walked in — a little taller, a little calmer, and feeling accomplished without feeling wrecked.
My hope is that you feel that too — not just physically better after class, but mentally lighter as well. The Pilates Place has become my second home thanks to the amazing clients and passionate instructors, and I truly hope it starts to feel like yours too.
FAQ
-
Yes! We recommend beginning with a private session so you can get comfortable on the reformer, learn how your body should move, and feel confident before joining group classes. It’s a relaxed, supportive way to start.
-
We ask that you cancel at least 24 hours before the start time. Late cancellations will result in a class being deducted from your package or the session being charged to your card on file.
-
Everyone is a little different, but with consistent practice — about two to three times a week — most people begin to notice changes within six weeks or sooner. You’ll start to feel stronger, move more comfortably, and everyday activities often become easier.

Give us a call at 410-205-9747 and we’ll help match you with an instructor who’s a great fit for your goals and needs.
-
Private sessions are the best way to give extra attention to particular areas. You’re always welcome to share things like shoulder issues, tight hamstrings, or hip pain with your instructor before class — we’ll offer thoughtful cues and modifications so the workout works for your body while still giving you a balanced, full-body experience.
-
You won’t find bright lights, blaring music, or pressure to keep up here. The studio is calm, simple, and welcoming so you can settle in and focus on how your body feels.
You’ll leave each class feeling positive and refreshed, and over time you’ll naturally notice more strength, flexibility, and comfort in your movement. Our hope is that the studio becomes a place you genuinely look forward to coming to — your happy place.
-
You’ll find all kinds of people here. You might be next to someone working on their golf swing, and on the other side someone simply wanting to stay flexible and stand a little taller. In the next class, one person may be easing tight hips or a sore back while another is just enjoying an hour to herself.
Different goals, different bodies — everyone moving together at their own pace.
-
We’re casual and laid back — wear whatever you feel comfortable moving in. Most clients choose leggings and a tank or T-shirt. No makeup or matching outfits required 🙂
We prefer bare feet so you can really use the muscles in your feet, but grippy socks are always welcome too.
-
Some classes fill up, but it’s always worth adding yourself to the waitlist. If a spot opens more than 24 hours before class, you’ll automatically be added and notified (as long as your notifications are turned on).
